I am a currently stay at home mother of two boys. That means I am unemployed. In my previous life, I was a Russian Linguist and Intelligence Analyst at an unnamed federal agency, but that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away in the greater Washington-Baltimore area. Since then, I have lived in the greater London area, the greater Atlanta area, and now in the Metro-West area of Boston.

I was born in Utah, and spent most of my youth there, with a few breaks when my father was on sabbaticals in Scotland and South Africa, and with my mother in graduate school at University of Arizona. I went to High School in Grahamstown, South Africa, Tuscon, Arizona, and Logan, Utah. I am a recovering Mormon.

I am a lifelong science fiction nut. When I was small, I wanted to marry Captain Kirk. This lead to a serious crush on Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard. I watched a bit of Doctor Who during the Tom Baker years. I went through a severe Farscape phase, going through painful withdrawals after its cancellation. I never warmed up to the Stargate franchise. I discovered Firefly after it had been off the air for at least 2 years. I now have an unhealthy obsession with the new Doctor Who and David Tennant. I also like Battlestar Galactica, but its not a serious addiction.

I am an amateur actress, with a love of Shakespeare. I play the flute, love old movies and opera. I worked for a few years doing home decoration; designing, window treatments, decorative pillows, and other soft furnishings. I sew and tile. In other words, I do many things well, none of which generate income.
